We, the Sisters of St. Joseph trusting in the Divine providence ventured on a new mission to serve the community in which families were torn apart by HIV/AIDS. It was our desire to reach and touch those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS by our care and service demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ.
On 15th June 1999 Rt. Rev. Bishop Paul Maipan of the Diocese of Khammam had the great joy of welcoming the sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy into his Diocese in order to work for the upliftment of the poor especially women in a village called Ayyanapalem, in Chandrgunda Mandal. Another house was blessed In the year 2003 April 23rd, to take care of the sick and suffering. In the same year on October 9th St. Joseph’s Care center for HIV/Aids was inaugurated. This event marked the milestone in serving the HIV/AIDS victims. The sisters from the start were fully committed to and were actively involved in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, counseling, care and support to the patients

Many children are affected by HIV/AIDS, either because they are infected themselves, or because they have parents who live with HIV/AIDS or who have passed away. These children live in disgraceful situations. You can either sponsor a child or help us through your generous contribution to serve these children. If you wish to know more about these children, kindly contact us on the following address either through email or by letter.
You can also support the inpatients with AIDs related complications to receive medical and supportive or palliative care.
We receive financial support from the Government and donors but there is more to be done. You too can join our efforts in bringing hope to these people living with HIV/AIDS.
