21st General Chapter of the Congregation was a time of grace and blessings to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy. Five sisters from Bhubaneswar Province were elected as the delegates of the Chapter which was held in Nemi, Rome.
All the sisters accompanied the delegates through prayers and mortifications. During the Chapter new Superior General and the team was elected to lead the Congregation for the next six years. This was also a moment of pride for the Province as Sr. Elizabeth was elected to the team of leadership.
The Province organized two days of Post General Chapter Orientation for the sisters of the Province. Around 75 sisters from 24 Communities from different parts of the country participated in these two days of sessions. It was a time when we looked back into the life of the Province to see how we had been living and challenges paused to be relevant and mystics at this time. Each of the delegates presented a topic that was part of the General Chapter agenda. The themes were challenging and encouraging to shed our lukewarm ways of living and to be filled with the spirit of our founder and the Lord. It also was a time to think and act together to face the “Emerging Future” as a Sister of St. Joseph of Annecy.
